The California Department of Insurance (CDI) provides assistance on insurance issues, such as claim handling delays, additional living expenses, under insurance disputes, availability, etc. The Insurance Commissioner wants to make sure that the claim process moves as smoothly and as quickly as possible and that any underinsurance issues are investigated.
