July 2018 Fires

California’s 2018 fire season has already proven to be aggressive very early on in the year. This past July, California experienced several major wildfires up and down the state, many resulting in State of Emergency Proclamations by the Governor to support local government and federal Fire Management Assistance Grants to help with firefighting costs. Large wildfires in Shasta and Lake Counties destroyed thousands of structures and ultimately resulted in a Major Disaster Declaration by the President of the United States to further provide resources to help fire survivors and communities recover. This page contains resources and information to those affected by wildfires. Survivors are also encouraged to check with their local jurisdiction for additional recovery information that may be available.
